Susanville

It was a cold night but not as bad as we feared. The front must have passed through and we awoke to clear skies and lots of deer in the campground.

The trip south on 395 was uneventful. We passed large shallow lakes and a lot of farming that is supported by irrigation. For the most part the mountains were left behind and we followed wide valleys toward Susanville. We found a very nice RV park in Standish, a little town about 13 miles from Susanville. Since we needed to do laundry and some shopping we decided to spend at least a couple nights here.

This afternoon we drove into town to get Dianna’s prescription filled and do a little shopping. Then it was home to watch some TV and catch up on internet stuff.

  1. I hope you got your thyroid, or whatever medication it was that you ran out of in Canada, and couldn't fill until you got back in the US.

  2. Yes, I got it filled while we were in Mt. Vernon, WA. I really can't feel any difference but I know it would show up on a blood test.

  3. I asked this a few posts ago but never got an answer. Are you planning to spend some time at San Onofre this winter?

  4. I thought I answered that but I guess not. We will be back at San Onofre in April of next year. Our plan is to stay there all next summer. We gotta recover from the expense of our Alaska trip this year!

  5. Where are you planning to winter? Are you still looking into that state park southeast of here?

  6. We have not planned that far ahead yet. Holidays with the kids and back to San Onofre on April first. In between I do have to make a trip to Texas for my last back follow up visit. So, maybe south Texas, maybe Yuma, maybe Quartzsite or maybe Santan Park if they have not filled the position when we figure it out.
